The logo is a mandala with FIVE petals with cocoa elements. At the center we have the fruit sectioned in FIVE sectors and the seeds (beans) from which chocolate is made. The next circle contains the fruits and leaves of the cocoa tree, and then we have the cocoa flowers which have FIVE petals. The last circle represents the starry sky above us… and the moral law within us***.
Moreover, the cocoa butter contained in the beans can take six crystal forms. By tempering, we form the one with the number FIVE, which gives the ideal characteristics of chocolate (texture, melting point, smoothness).
In the Hindu tradition, the five-petal mandala is associated with the god Vishnu and represents the FIVE human senses: hearing, taste, smell, sight and touch. These senses are considered essential in the search for spiritual realization. In tasting chocolate we use all five senses.
Generally, the FIVE-petaled mandala is considered to be the symbol of harmony and balance. Drawing or contemplating it can be used in meditation to help achieve a state of tranquillity and inner peace.
